Inventory Handler

Job Summary:

As our inventory clerk at Cosco, you'll be an essential part of our team, orchestrating the incoming influx of inventory and ensuring their quality. Your pivotal role will involve developing a thorough knowledge of receiving, inspecting, and recording inventory transactions. Your exceptional attention to detail will enable you to accurately manage inventory records and optimize warehouse systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Those working in this position are responsible for taking delivery of new merchandise, carefully cross-checking its contents with documentation, and conducting thorough inspections to ensure that everything is in proper order.
• Carry out meticulous inspections on the merchandise received to ascertain if they satisfy the required quality standards. Any anomalies or flaws identified should be reported to the relevant personnel for correction.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure that inventory is stored efficiently. Make recommendations for optimizing inventory storage based on changing trends and volume.
• Stay on top of your receiving process by keeping detailed records of all shipments, documenting the numbers, condition of products, and any discrepancies found. Generate reports at regular intervals to track receiving performance and inventory levels.
• Promote seamless communication and collaboration between suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to promptly address any receiving-related inquiries or issues. Ensure operational efficiency and streamline workflow for optimal performance.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is mandatory for this job. Nonetheless, holding extra education or certification in logistics or supply chain management would confer a distinct advantage.
• Previous exposure to the activities involved in operating a warehouse, particularly pertaining to receiving and inventory management.
• Mastery in utilizing software that organizes inventory and tools that scan barcodes.
• Great vigilance towards minute particulars and capability in maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced workplace.
• Proficient in organizing workload and managing time effectively.
• Being able to communicate in a clear, concise, and articulate manner is key to effective interpersonal relationships.
• Skill to maneuver and convey heavy objects, as necessary.
