Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Part of the job description for this role involves the accurate and efficient receipt of merchandise from a range of different suppliers, which involves carefully checking each shipment, verifying its contents against packing slips and purchase orders, and keeping detailed records.
• Carefully inspect the received goods to ensure that they are in compliance with the prescribed quality regulations. Notify the relevant staff if there are any defects or damages that require attention.
• Prioritize the handling of inventory based on its nature and the level of demand. Work with the team to ensure that the most important inventory items are handled first.
• To optimize your receiving process and ensure timely access to goods, maintain comprehensive records of all deliveries received. Record the number of items, condition of goods, and any discrepancies and use this information to generate reports that can help monitor inventory levels and receive metrics.
• Facilitate timely resolution of receiving-related concerns or issues by collaborating with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments. Foster effective communication amongst team members to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• This position necessitates at least a high school diploma or its equivalent. Having additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management would be advantageous.
• Proficient in the workings of a warehouse, especially in terms of receiving and controlling inventory.
• Talent in working with both inventory management software and barcode scanning systems.
• Sharp awareness of the minor details and ability to sustain precision in a speedy work setting.
• Effective management of time and organization of tasks.
• A person with outstanding communication abilities has the capacity to produce clear and convincing arguments in both oral and written form.
• Capacity to heave and displace hefty equipment, as needed.
