Freight Coordinator

Job Summary:

Cosco is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient individual to join our team. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of incoming inventory. Your skills to organize, inspect, and record incoming shipments will be called upon to ensure inventory control and enhance warehouse productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• To succeed in this role, you must be able to receive incoming shipments of merchandise, perform detailed comparisons between the contents you receive and the relevant documentation, and record accurate inventory data in software systems.
• Conduct detailed checks on the received merchandise to verify compliance with the stipulated quality guidelines. Any identified instances of poor quality or non-conformity should be reported immediately to the concerned personnel for appropriate action.
• Maintain precise inventory records through collaboration with other members of the team. Consistently keep track of inventory levels in a timely and accurate manner.
• Manage your receiving process by maintaining precise records of all shipments received, including the number of items, condition of goods, and any discrepancies discovered. Generate reports regularly to keep track of your inventory and monitor receiving performance.
• Ensure prompt resolution of receiving-related issues or inquiries by working with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams. Foster open communication among team members for efficient workflow and operational success.

Qualifications:

• The fundamental prerequisite for this role is a high school diploma or an equivalent certification. However, individuals with extra education or certification in logistics or supply chain management will be given preference.
• Familiarity and experience with warehouse operations, notably in the areas of receiving and inventory management.
• Expertise in employing barcode scanning systems and software designed for inventory management.
• Profound emphasis on specifics and proficiency in preserving accuracy in a demanding work environment.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills enable you to express yourself with confidence and proficiency, making it easier to get your point across.
• Potential to hoist and relocate substantial loads, as mandated.
